- What it does
- Preservation
- Our take
- A preservative that comes from a food ferment rather than a lab, and one of the few that genuinely holds a formula on its own terms. We use it in pore magic because a toner sits on skin all day and we wanted the mildest system that would still keep the bottle safe. No parabens, no formaldehyde releasers, no isothiazolinones, and it is well tolerated on sensitive skin.
