This Privacy Policy describes how Free Living Co LLC, trading as Free Living Co and Live Free Skincare ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit freelivingco.co, buy from us, take our quiz, apply to one of our programs, or otherwise deal with us.

We sell skincare made for teenagers. That means we think harder than most shops about whose information we hold and what we do with it. This policy says plainly what happens.

What we collect

What you give us:

• Name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address
• Order details and what you bought, including any subscription schedule you set up
• Account details, if you create an account
• Answers you give in our skin quiz, including an age range
• Messages you send us, and any photos you send with a return or a reaction report
• Program applications, including a parent or guardian's details and consent where the applicant is under 18

What we collect automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, what you put in your cart, and how you arrived at the site. We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies for this.

What we get from others: payment confirmation from our payment processor, delivery status from carriers, and engagement data such as opens and clicks from our email and text messaging platform.

What we never collect: government ID numbers. We also never see or store your full card number - payment details go straight to our payment processor.

What we use it for

• Taking, filling and delivering your order, and handling returns and refunds
• Answering you when you get in touch
• Sending marketing email and text messages, if you asked for them
• Showing you ads on other platforms, and measuring whether they worked
• Recommending products based on your quiz answers
• Running our programs, including checking eligibility and holding parental consent
• Keeping accounts, meeting our legal obligations, and preventing fraud
• Recording and, where required, reporting reactions to products we make

Who we share it with

These are the actual companies involved, not a general category.

• Shopify - runs our store, checkout and customer accounts
• Shopify Payments and our other payment providers - processing payments
• Klaviyo - marketing email and text messages, and the customer profile behind them
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - advertising and measurement, through the Meta pixel
• TikTok - advertising and measurement, through the TikTok pixel
• Google Analytics 4 - understanding how the site is used
• Appstle - running subscriptions, including your delivery schedule and renewal reminders
• Shipping carriers - delivering your order
• The platform that runs our skin quiz - storing and scoring your answers

We also share information where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or if the business is ever sold or merged.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Advertising, and what "sharing" means

We run the Meta pixel and the TikTok pixel on this site. They pass identifiers about your visit to those platforms so we can show you ads and see whether they worked.

Several state privacy laws treat that as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and give you the right to stop it. To stop it, email dana@freelivingco.co and say so. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children and teens

Live Free Skincare is made for teenagers, so we expect teens to use this site. Here is how we handle their information.

Under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If someone under 13 wants quiz results, or wants to take part in one of our programs, a parent or guardian gives us the email address and consents on their behalf. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without that consent, we delete it.

13 to 17. Teens can browse, shop and take the quiz. Purchases must be made by an adult, or with a parent or guardian's permission. For any program where we use a teen's name, image or content, a parent or guardian completes a consent form before they take part.

What we collect from teens. The same things we collect from anyone. Where we can, we store an age range rather than a date of birth.

Text messages. You must be 18 or older to sign up for our text messages.

Advertising. We do not knowingly build advertising profiles of anyone under 16. If you tell us someone is under 16, we will stop sharing their information for advertising.

Parents and guardians. You can ask us at any time what we hold about your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email dana@freelivingco.co and we will do it. You do not need to give a reason.

Withdrawing consent. If you consented to your child taking part in a program and you change your mind, email us. We will remove them from the program and stop using their name, image and content going forward.

Email and text messages

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link at the bottom of any message. We will still email you about orders you have placed.

Text messages. We only text people who signed up for it, and only people 18 or over. Reply STOP to 844-296-4501 to stop, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Our full Mobile Terms sit at the bottom of our Terms of Service.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Give you a copy of it
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Stop sharing it for targeted advertising
• Stop sending you marketing

How to ask: email dana@freelivingco.co, or write to the address at the bottom of this page. We will respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need longer. We may need to confirm it's you before we act, usually by checking the email address on your account.

If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will look at it again.

You can use an authorised agent. We will ask for proof that you authorised them.

We will not treat you worse for exercising any of these rights.

How long we keep things

• Order and transaction records - for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records
• Marketing profiles - until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them
• Subscription records - for as long as your subscription is active, and afterwards with your order records
• Quiz answers - until you ask us to delete them
• Program applications and consent forms - for as long as we use the content the consent covers, and afterwards as the record of that consent
• Emails you send us - until we no longer need them to help you

When we no longer need something, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

We use Shopify's infrastructure and its security controls, and we limit who can see customer information. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than promise otherwise. Please don't send us sensitive information by email.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cart, understand how the site is used, and show you ads. Most browsers accept cookies by default, and you can block or remove them in your browser settings. Parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.

Other sites

Our site links to other websites, including the brands we stock. Once you leave, their privacy policies apply rather than ours.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change matters to you, we will say so rather than leaving you to spot it.
