Products 17
What age is Live Free for? needs Dana

It's built for teen skin — oilier, more reactive, and dealing with breakouts rather than fine lines. Most people using it are [age range], and plenty of adults with sensitive skin use it too.

If your kid is younger and you're not sure she needs a routine at all, the honest answer is usually a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser and sunscreen, and nothing else.

Needs the age range.

Can a 12-year-old use it?

Probably, but it depends on her skin rather than her birthday. smooth sali contains 2% salicylic acid, a standard over-the-counter strength that's fine for most teens — though younger skin is often more reactive, and some tweens do better starting with just the moisturiser and adding the cleanser later.

If she has eczema, very dry skin, or anything a doctor is already treating, ask her pediatrician or a dermatologist first. We'd rather you did that than take our word for it.

Is 2% salicylic acid too strong for her?

2% is the highest strength available without a prescription and the standard in most over-the-counter acne cleansers. In a cleanser it's on the skin for under a minute and rinsed off, which is far gentler than a leave-on serum at the same percentage.

If her skin is dry or reactive, start every other night and build up. If it stings, stop and email us — we want to know which product and what else was on her face.

Can she use it alongside a prescription?

Often yes, and it depends which one. Retinoids and benzoyl peroxide both change what else should go on the skin, and stacking actives is the most common reason a teen's face starts hurting.

Send us what she's been prescribed and we'll tell you plainly — including when the answer is to ask her dermatologist instead of us.

Will it sting on sensitive skin?

It shouldn't. All three are built for blemish-prone, sensitive skin, and there's no added fragrance or drying alcohol in any of them — those two are the usual culprits.

The other common cause is stacking. If she's using an exfoliant, a retinol and a vitamin C alongside this, the stinging is probably the combination rather than any single product.

What order do they go in?

Cleanse, tone, moisturize. smooth sali, then pore magic, then moisturose.

Morning: all three, then sunscreen. Night: all three. The order is printed inside the lid of the set, because it's the thing people most often ask twice.

Does she need all three?

No. The cleanser and the moisturiser do the most, and plenty of people use just those.

The set exists because all three together saves $18. What she does need, and we don't make, is a sunscreen — the one step with real evidence about how skin looks decades later.

Is there fragrance in it?

No added fragrance in any of the three. Nothing is added to make them smell like anything.

Some ingredients have a faint scent of their own — moisturose contains rose and smells mildly of it. What you won't find is fragrance or parfum on the label, the term that can legally cover a long list of undisclosed ingredients.

How long does one bottle last? needs Dana

[Confirm per product — sizes are 150ml, 100ml and 50ml.] Used as directed, roughly [X] weeks each.

The cleanser usually goes first. If yours is emptying much faster than that, she's likely using more than she needs — which is common and costs money rather than doing damage.

Needs per-product duration. Sizes are 150ml, 100ml and 50ml.

How long until we see a difference?

Give it four weeks before you judge it, and don't change anything else during those four weeks. Skin takes about that long to turn over, and adding or swapping a second product in week two makes it impossible to tell what did what.

If something looks worse rather than better at any point, stop and email us.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Both. Leaping Bunny certified, which means no animal testing at any stage — by us or by anyone we buy raw materials from. It's audited rather than self-declared.

No animal-derived ingredients in any of the three.

Can boys use it?

Yes. Skin doesn't have a gender and neither does any of this — oil, breakouts and a wrecked barrier work the same way on everyone.

The packaging is plain enough that nobody's been embarrassed by it yet, which we're told is the actual question.

Is it okay if she has eczema?

Ask her doctor first. Eczema means a barrier that's already compromised, and salicylic acid is an exfoliant — even a gentle one is a decision worth making with someone who's seen her skin.

moisturose alone is usually fine and is the one most people with eczema get on with.

Can she wear makeup with it?

Yes, and the cleanser is there partly to get it off again. Cleanse at night before anything else — heavy or long-wear makeup usually needs an oil or balm first, then the cleanser.

The thing that actually causes trouble isn't makeup. It's sleeping in it.

Does she still need sunscreen? needs Dana

Yes, and more so. Salicylic acid can make skin more sensitive to sun, and sunscreen is the single step with the strongest evidence behind it at her age.

We don't make one. [SPF recommendation + link]

Needs the SPF recommendation and its link.

Is it safe to use while pregnant?

Ask your doctor. Guidance on salicylic acid in pregnancy varies and it isn't a call we should be making for you.

What's the shelf life? needs Dana

Held back deliberately. The period-after-opening figure is a regulated label element and needs sign-off before this can publish.

Orders and shipping 10
Where's my order?

Tracking goes out the moment it ships, usually one to two working days after you order. Check spam — it's almost always there.

If it's been longer than that, email us with your order number and we'll chase it.

Is shipping free? needs Dana

Free on orders $99+, which the routine set meets exactly. Below that it's [rate].

Needs the under-$99 shipping rate.

How do I return something?

Thirty days, opened or not. Tell us the order number and whether you want a refund or a swap, and we'll send a label.

You don't need a reason, but if you have one we'd like to hear it — it's how the next version gets better.

Can I change or cancel an order?

If it hasn't shipped, yes. Email us with the order number as soon as you can. Once it's gone, the thirty-day return covers you.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. If you're somewhere we don't reach, tell us where — it's how we decide what to open next.

Do you still deliver in Park City? needs Dana

Yes. [Local delivery: radius, days, minimum, and how to select it at checkout.]

Needs the local delivery radius, days, minimum, and how to select it at checkout.

My order arrived damaged. What now?

Email us with the order number and a photo. We'll replace it. You don't need to send the damaged one back.

Can I send it as a gift? needs Dana

Yes. Add a note at checkout and the packing slip goes out without prices on it. [Confirm the field exists at checkout.]

Confirm the gift-note field exists at checkout before publishing.

Do you have a shop I can visit? needs Dana

Not any more. There was one at Newpark in Park City for two years and it closed in [month] 2026.

You can still find us on shelves elsewhere — see the stockists — and if you're local, we deliver.

Needs the month the Newpark shop closed.

Do you offer subscriptions? needs Dana

Confirm yes or no, and the discount if yes. The current site offers subscribe-and-save on some products.

Packaging and sustainability 6
What is the packaging made of?

Vivomer — a plant-based material, certified home-compostable by TÜV. Bottles and caps both.

No plastic. Not less plastic, not ocean-bound plastic, not recycled plastic.

How do I compost it? needs Dana

It goes in your compost bin or straight into a garden bed. No facility, no drop-off, no special collection.

[How long it takes, and what to do with the label and pump if they're a different material.]

Needs how long it takes, and what to do with the label and pump if they are a different material.

What if I don't have a compost bin? needs Dana

Held back deliberately. Any claim about what happens in general waste is an environmental marketing claim under the FTC Green Guides — only publish a figure you can source.

What's the difference between home-compostable and compostable?

Most packaging labelled compostable is industrially compostable — it needs a commercial facility running at temperatures a garden never reaches. If your town doesn't collect for one, it goes to landfill like everything else.

Home-compostable means it breaks down in ordinary conditions, in your own bin, without any of that. It's a much harder standard to meet and a much rarer certification.

Is the shipping box recyclable? needs Dana

Confirm materials — box, tape, void fill, and whether anything in it is plastic.

Why not glass? needs Dana

Dana's answer. The honest reasons are usually weight, shipping emissions and breakage — but it should be her reasoning.

Ambassadors and sponsorship 8
What are the programmes?

Four of them. Brand Advocates — a small cohort who test what we make before it ships. College Ambassadors — on campus. Sponsored Athletes — individuals. Sponsored Teams — whole squads.

They're different commitments and different sizes. See Live Free Generation.

Who can apply? needs Dana

[Confirm ages and eligibility per programme.] Applications open [date].

If you're under 18, a parent or guardian has to sign off before we can accept you. That's not a formality — they get their own email and their own form.

Needs ages and eligibility per programme, and the date applications open.

Do I need a following?

No. There's no follower minimum and no posting quota.

We're more interested in whether you'll tell us something's wrong than in whether you'll say it's good. That's genuinely what the programme is for.

Do I have to post about it?

No. You never have to post.

Some people do and we're glad, but nobody is counted, chased or dropped for not posting. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't that programme.

What do I actually get? needs Dana

[Confirm per programme — product, the gatherings, what advocates get at graduation.]

Brand Advocates meet in person [four times] over the programme, in Park City, and finish with a graduation that parents are invited to.

Needs the detail per programme — product, the gatherings, what advocates get at graduation.

Is it paid? needs Dana

Answer it plainly either way — product, commission, stipend, or none. An unpaid programme described as an opportunity is the thing that loses teenagers and their parents.

Can a whole team apply? needs Dana

Yes — that's what the sponsored teams track is for. [Confirm what a team sponsorship includes and who signs.]

Needs what a team sponsorship includes and who signs.

When do you decide? needs Dana

Needs the timeline. If it's rolling, say rolling. If people will wait weeks, say weeks — the worst version is silence.

Other 8
Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Shops, spas, salons, and pediatric and derm offices. The line sheet, case packs and terms are all in one place. Open the wholesale page.

How do you decide what to carry?

Every product is read against the same list before it goes on the shelf, and a lot don't make it. What we allow, what we won't, and where we still disagree with ourselves is all written down. Read Our Standard.

I make something — can you carry it?

Maybe. Send it to hello@livefreeskincare.com with a full ingredient list, whatever certifications you hold, and who your customer is.

The ingredient list is the part that matters. We can't review anything without one.

Who makes your products? needs Dana

We work with a contract manufacturer in [the US / confirm]. We don't name them publicly — that's their preference and ours.

What we will tell you is exactly what's in the bottles, which is the part that affects you.

Confirm the manufacturing country. The standing rule holds: no name, no hints.

Where are you based?

Park City, Utah. Everything ships from here.

Are you hiring? needs Dana

Confirm. If not, say so — a vague answer generates more email than a no.

Can you sponsor my event, send product for a giveaway, or donate to a non-profit fundraiser? needs Dana

Blocked until the donation application form exists. This is the one place where pointing at nothing is worse than the old vague answer. The form must ask for the date and the number of units.
